Local External Tables Netezza - learnReading Time: < 1 minute

If your query build a large set of results and takes a long time to run (an hour or more), try using local external tables.

Based on what tool you are using: JDBC SQL tool such as Squirrel or a ODBC tool such as Aginity

CREATE EXTERNAL TABLE ‘C:\\Users\\MyUser\\Account dim dump.csv’ USING ( DELIMITER ‘,’ Y2BASE 2000 ENCODING ‘internal’ REMOTESOURCE ‘JDBC’<OR>'ODBC' ESCAPECHAR ‘\’ ) AS select Query here with multiple complex joins Temporary External Table
